Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Dickson will be 2:30 PM Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the church.

Fred Austin Dickson, 95, of 181 Cherokee Hill Ridge Road, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home. Born in Mulberry, Florida he was a son of the late Winchester Theodore and Sarah Jones Dickson.

Mr. Dickson retired from SC Electric & Gas, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, where he served with the Sea Bees. One of his favorite hobbies was square dancing.

Surviving are his loving wife, Maude Timms Dickson of the home; a sister, Sarah Caldwell of Cartersville, GA; a brother, Edwin J. Dickson of Augusta, GA; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by four sisters, Irma O. Dickson, Ruth Sharpe, Martha Wooten, and Betty Moore.

Memorials are requested to Grace United Methodist Church, Bell Choir, 309 E. Cedar Rock Street, Pickens SC 29671.
