Funeral services to celebrate the home going of Mrs. Youngblood will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the mortuary.
Frances Jordan Youngblood, 71, of 718 S. Lewis Street, passed away peacefully, on Monday, June 04, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Anderson she was a daughter of the late John T. and Lois Pitts Jordan.
Mrs. Youngblood was a registered nurse for many years, having worked at Cannon Memorial Hospital and later served as a consultant for Anderson & Pickens County Disabilities & Special Needs. After her retirement from nursing she served as a Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem in Pickens County for abused and neglected children.
Mrs. Youngblood attended Crowe Creek Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, John Ed Youngblood of the home; two daughters, Diana Stone and Kaye Golden both of Pickens; three sons, Alan K. Youngblood of Easley, John Mark Youngblood of Liberty, and Edward Luke Youngblood of Seneca; she is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her only sister, Shirlene Gale Jordan, and a grandson, Jason Corey Stone.
