Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Smith will be conducted 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Westview Cemetery.

Faye Chapman Smith, 83, of 203 Thomas Street, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lila Doyle Nursing Center. Born in Liberty she was the widow of JD Smith Jr. and a daughter of the late Ben and Ressie McWhorter Chapman.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Johnson and Jennifer Smith both of Pendleton; a brother, Ray Chapman; three grandchildren, Terri Gryszel, Joel Robbins, III, and Cherish Bordelon; also surviving are 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Robbins, three sisters, Nara Cooper, Lois Holden, and Lucille Alexander, two brothers, Lawrence and Henry Chapman, and a grandson, Josh Whitfield.
