Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Moore will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Gap Hill Church of God. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.
Evie Jean Horton Moore, 80, of 301 Kelly Mill Road, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Cottingham Hospice House. Born in Easley she was a daughter of the late Clarence Oliver and Glevelan Reid Horton.
She retired from Ryobi and was a member of Gap Hill Church of God where she was active with the nursing home ministry.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest E. Moore of the home; four sons, Phillip Moore (Sheila) of Central, Terry Moore (Pam) of Tamassee, Mike Moore (Cindy) of Liberty, and Keith Moore (Arlina) of Cullowhee, NC; two sisters, Christine Davis of Greer, and Pat Chambers of Greenville; a brother, Larry Horton of Easley; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
