Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Martin will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park

Elizabeth Whitlock “Leah”, “Lib” Martin, 93, formerly of Liberty, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2017 at National Healthcare in Anderson.

Born in Liberty she was the widow of Clayton Martin and a daughter of the late Luther and Tallie Gillespie Whitlock.

Mrs. Martin retired from Swirl of Easley after many years of service. She was a long time member of Flat Rock Baptist Church, which she loved dearly. She was a delight to all her many nieces and nephews, and she befriended everyone she met.

Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn McAlister of Pendleton and Sara Perry of Liberty; a brother, Harold Whitlock of Easley.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Flat Rock Baptist Church, 115 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty SC 29657.

The family will be at their respective homes. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements
