Liberty, SC

Edward Reed, 65, of 117 Piney Trail, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence. Born in Rhine, Georgia he was a son of the late Halen and Estelle Whitehead Reed.

He retired from CES in Greenville and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca B. Reed of the home; a son, Jeremy Reed; two daughters, Shandi Sistare and Sheena White; two step sons, Jeffrey Tucker and Conway Putman; two step daughters, Amber and Kelly Putman; a sister, Doris Barker; two brothers, Billy Ray and Ernie Reed; also surviving are numerous grandchildren.

Memorial services to honor the life of Mr. Reed will be held, 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5003 Wells Highway, Seneca SC 29678.

I knew Ed from a long time ago in high school. We ran cross country together. I was a senior and Ed was a freshman. He along with his brother Ernie helped make a good team. We had a lot of fun and a successful year. Upon my graduation those two along with others continued the success of cross country at Carroll. I look back at that time with fond memories.
