Douglas Clark Hall

Douglas Clark Hall, formerly of Canton, NC, passed away peacefully at his home December 5, 2016 in Six Mile, SC. Douglas was born April 14, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the second of six children. Douglas was 73 years old.

He was a man devoted to taking care of his Grandchildren Richard Conner, Ben Conner and his daughter Martha Hall Conner all of Six Mile, South Carolina. He was a great musician; he played Lead Guitar and Bass guitar, and was also a great story teller and wrote several books “The Little House That Sits On A Shelf,” “The Ghost Timbers,” and many more. He was also the inventor of a game called “Race To The White House”. Douglas was an avid song writer. With songs like “Take Me Back” and ‘Keep A Dreamin’. Plus many more and one that will be remembered by all who knew him. It was called “Navajo” which sounded like an Indian war call; and when it was played it would shake the hills of Western NC. Douglas grew up in Canton, North Carolina with 5 other siblings, James R. Hall of Shelton, WA, (deceased) Charlotte Hall Sexton of Inman, South Carolina, Nola Hall Frisbee of Candler, NC, Walter Guinn Hall of Six Mile, SC and Bennie Michael Hall of Asheville, NC.

Douglas was the son of the late Bennie Richard Hall and Mary Ann Duvall Hall of Canton, North Carolina. The family is at their respective homes. A private memorial will be held by the family.
