Graveside services to honor the life of Mrs. Sloan will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Memory Gardens in Clemson. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until 12:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
Dorothy Lavinia Sloan, 86, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, died Saturday, November 7, 2020 at White Oak Manor. Born in Clemson, she was the widow of Larry Sloan and a daughter of the late Felton and Lucy Rogers Tant.
She was a homemaker and a member of Slabtown Baptist Church. She loved to cook, camping, and her horses. But most of all she loved her family and taking care of people.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandy Miller (Marty) of Easley; 2 grandchildren, Lyndsey Abbott (Michael) of Easley, and Jennifer Rivera (Michael) of Taylors; five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Brinlei, Chase, Hadley, and Cora.
The was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Don Reeves, and a brother, Larry Tant.
