Funeral services for Mrs. Garner will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary. Burial will be at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Mitchell Looper will be officiating the service.

Doris Nealey Garner, 72, of Hitt Road, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Liberty, she was the widow of Thomas Joseph Garner and a daughter of the late Thelma Ramey Gantt. She was retired from Easley City Police Department where she worked in the detention center and also as a dispatcher. She loved watching the Carolina Gamecocks Baseball games. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She attended Carolina Heights Church of God.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Loretta Garner and Rita Burgess(Greg) of Easley; a son, Joey Garner(Trish) of Easley; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Guzman(Julio), Matt Childress(Cassandra), Megan Burgess, Trevor Madison(Morgan), T.J. Garner(Brittany), Emily Garner, Roman Garner(Bethanee) and Caleb Gravely; 12 great grandchildren, Monica, Rose, Gracen, Abby, Rhett, Landen, Terry, Jaxton, Hayden, Brayden, Kaide and Owen; 4 sisters; 1 brother and a lifelong friend, Judy Brewington.

In addition to her husband and mother she is predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Gregory Burgess; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
