Don was like a brother to us, always there when we needed him. He lended a helping hand in many ways, and never saying no to helping Dennis on jobs out of town. I remember him telling the crazy stories of how he couldn’t believe at 50 he would be cleaning ceilings in grocery stores, he didn’t like it but had fun with Dennis and cleaning anyway. I know there probably wasn’t a time when we lived in Easly we didn’t see or communicate with each other. Planning dinners, vacations, Saturday boating or Hendersonville jeeping, or helping remodel ur house, we were a family of fun. We had words we could say and only we knew what happened ie....Covey of Quail Don would laugh so hard I was afraid he would have a heart attack. I don’t believe we ever saw don mad and if we did it didn’t last long. His love for Sue was amazing, and we are blessed to have them as friends (they are and will always be family to us). He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. God bless you, Love Cindy & Dennis Wilczewski

Our friend, Don Black, always had a smile and a big wave when we drove in our driveway after a hard day's work. We could see and feel the love he had for his wife, Sue. Saluda Lake will never be the same without Don buzzing up and down it in his boat. Our tribute to the best and most trustworthy next door neighbor we have ever had. Love, Shirley and Eddie Gregory
