I first met Don about 20 years ago when I transfered from Catawba to Oconee. I got the chance to work with him for many years. We shared the same office for many years and I got to know Don real good. He became a good friend to me. Don taught me a lot over the years. He was a mentor to me. Don had a heart of gold and it was as big as the world. I glad I got to talk to him the other week. I am going to miss you brother but you will always be with us in our memories. I had the honor to work with Don for many years at Oconee and McGuire and then back at Oconee starting in 2001! He was a great Job Sponsor and helped me out more than once! He came to see me about a month ago and we spent about 45 minutes talking about old times and dear friends and co-workers. My prayers and thoughts are with the family now and in the days ahead!
