Donald Lee Bennett, 79, of Hickory Lane, formerly a resident of Longmont, Colorado, died Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his residence. Born in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Ermel Conard and Lela Elizabeth Dorsey Bennett. He was retired from Firestone and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Sara Cater(Chris) of Norris; two sons, Donald Eugene Bennett of Norris and Richard William Bennett of St. Mary’s, WV; two step-daughters, Robin Selman(Dean) Taryn(Tracy/Dane) Schulz; two sisters, Pauline Pishner of Ashtabula, OH and Jean Halstead(Robert) of Wakeman, OH; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Sharon Bennett Morrison; his second wife Genie Bennett; a son, Gary Wayne Bennett; five sisters; his step-mother; 1 brother; 1 step-brother; and 1 granddaughter.
A private memorial service will be held in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel.
