Graveside services conducted by Reverend Rick Hayes will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Six Mile. Mrs. Greene’s body will be available for viewing at Liberty Mortuary.
Christine Porter Greene, 88, of Walhalla Highway, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Heritage Health Care in Six Mile. Born in Pickens, she was the widow of the late Robert Harold Greene and the daughter of the late Jessie E. and Ethel Howard Porter. Her love of music led her to become a music teacher for many years and was loved and respected by all that she taught. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Walhalla.
Surviving is a son, Dr. Dan Greene and his wife Donna of Six Mile; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Earl and Calvin Porter.
