Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Duncan will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at Liberty Mortuary.
Allene Garrett Duncan, 90, of 311 Lee Street passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at her home. Born in Six Mile, she was the widow of Broadus Allen Duncan, Sr. and the daughter of the late James Eugene and Edith Ellen Howard Garrett. She was a homemaker and a member of Calumet Baptist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Elwanda Nalley(Danny) of Easley, Karla Dunn(Ken) of Six Mile and Kathy Evans(Wayne) of Six Mile; a son, David Duncan(Carole) of Easley; 7grandchildren, Travis Nalley(Angela), Derrick Duncan(Tessa), Kristen Lackey(Daniel), Brandon Spearman(Jennifer), Jay Dunn(Kelli), Candice Stephens(Chad) and Michael Evans(Melodie); and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son Broadus Allen Duncan, Jr.
The family would especially like to thank three special people, Cathy Oliver, Lisa Vargas and Alex Blake, for their love and care that they provided as caregivers for Mrs. Duncan.
